RENO, Nevada – LMU men's golf fought through snow and tough conditions through three rounds at the Wolf Pack Classic. The Lions lowered their stroke totals each round by double digits to tie for ninth overall in the 15-team field.
LMU shot 309-298-278—885 to jump two positions in the final round and break into the top-10.
Gavin Cohen led the team and tied for 23
rd overall with his 78-76-66—220, while recording a team-best 39 pars.
Tony Hendricks finished a stroke behind Cohen at 76-74-71—221. Hendricks shot three-under of Par 5 holes to lead the Lions.
Riley Lewis also recorded a final round in the sixties with his 80-74-68—222 to place in a tie for 31
st.
Cameron Meeks shot a consistent 75-74-74—223 to score for the Lions, and led the team with 11 birdies.
Rounding out the LMU five,
Caden McMackin shot 83-77-73—233.
The Lions will be back in action in two weeks, playing at Hawaii's Hoakalei CC Invitational from Oct. 25-26.
