The Loyola Marymount University Lions baseball team (3-2, 0-0 WCC) fresh off their comeback win against Cal State Bakersfield travel to Huntsville, Texas for a three-game set against Sam Houston State for the first meeting between the two schools.

LMU begins the first of five straight weekend series on the road with the trip to SHSU and heading into the game
Trevin Esquerra hasn't had many opportunities to put the ball in play as he's been shown a free pass seven times so far this season, which ranks 10
thin the nation.

Dylan Dennis has stepped up with Esquerra being shown the free pass so much this season. Dennis leads the Lions with three doubles and is currently tied for second in both batting average at .267 and total bases with seven.

Most of the offensive punch has come off the bat of
Cooper Uhl through the first five games for the Lions. Uhl leads LMU in average at .500 average, multi-hit games with three and multi-RBI games with two. Additionally, he is the pace setter in hits with seven, RBI at five and on base percentage at .611.

The Lions have been getting solid outings from their starters over the weekend with each pitcher going at least 4.0 innings with
Josh Agnew leading the way. Agnew was strong in his 2020 debut against Washington when he scattered six hits in 5 2/3 innings to go along with four strikeouts and will be looking to improve upon those numbers against the Bearkats.

In addition to Agnew, the rest of the rotation has given head coach
Nathan Choate solid innings while on the bump.

Alex Burge have made multiple appearances with Voelker leading the Lions in innings pitched with 6.0.
