Final Results
LOMPOC, Calif. –
Gavin Cohen and
Cameron Meeks each finished in the top five of the field at the La Purisima College Invite held on Monday and Tuesday.
Cohen (73-71-73—217) finished in a tie for third after totaling 39 pars and seven birdies, while Meeks (68-72-78—218) used nine birdies and 36 pars to tie for fifth overall.
Freshman
Caden McMackin (72-77-74—223) tied for 15
th in the 32-player field.
Raymond Navis shot his low in the final round for a 76-78-74—228, while
Riley Lewis closed out the scoring five for the Lions with his 81-74-76—231.
LMU's
Kyle Kinnane did earn a top-10 finish, tying for ninth overall as an individual, with his 73-72-74—219.
The other two Lions competing as individuals were
Guy Clauss (76-76-80—232) and
Brendan Gonzalez (85-78-78—241).
As a team, LMU finished in third of four participating teams with an 81-74-76—231.
The final tournament of the fall will be the Southern California leg of the schedule with LMU competing in the Rustic Collegiate Classic in Moorpark on Nov. 5-6.
