LOMPOC, Calif. – LMU's Cameron Meeks shot an opening-day 68-72—140 to enter the clubhouse in second overall at the La Purisima College Invite on Monday.
 
Meeks' four-under two-round total was reached through the combination of 24 pars and eight birdies on the Par 72, 7011-yard course.
 
Teammate Gavin Cohen shot even par on the day, following his opening round 73 with a 71 for 144.
 
Caden McMackin opened the day at par, but finished at 72-77—149.
 
Raymond Navis (76-78—154) and Riley Lewis (81-74—155) close out the scoring five for the Lions.
 
Leading the individuals, and tied for eighth overall, with a 73-72—145 is LMU's Kyle Kinnane.
 
Guy Clauss is tied for 20^th overall with his matching rounds of 76.
 
Brendan Gonzalez shot 85-78—163 for his first 36 holes.
 
As a team, the Lions shot 289-294—583, and are three strokes back of second-place Saint Mary's
