Trevin Esquerra have both been named Preseason All-Americans by Perfect Game, it was announced Tuesday.

Frasso was named to the Second Team and Esquerra was selected to the Third Team. It's the second Preseason All-America honor for both, as Frasso was named to the Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-American Second Team while Esquerra was tabbed Third Team.

Frasso is coming off a season where he appeared in 19 games, starting five while leading the team in saves with 10. He was recognized as a member of the All-WCC Second Team as well as the WCC All-Tournament Team in 2019.Â

Esquerra led the team in numerous offensive categories in 2019 including batting average at .322, hits (75), homeruns (16), doubles (20), RBIs (60), slugging percentage (.622) and was recognized as a member of the All-WCC Second Team and ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I West All-Region Second Team.

The Lions are coming off a 2019 season where they won 34 games, highlighted by winning their first ever West Coast Conference Tournament Championship. LMU also made their ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, playing in the Los Angeles Regional and beating No. 1 UCLA.

The Lions begin the 2020 season on Friday, February 14 when they take on the University of Washington Huskies at Page Stadium with season-opening first pitch set for 6:00 p.m.Â
