LOS ANGELES – For the second-straight season, the Lions travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to open the new year. LMU will compete in the Golfweek Conference Challenge from Sept. 15-17 from the Donald Ross Course at Cedar Rapids Country Club.
"We couldn't be more excited to get things going next week," said Head Coach
Jason D'Amore. "The guys have looked great and are working hard."
The participating field will include Arkansas State, Ball State, Campbell, Dayton, Drexel, Furman, Illinois State, Iowa, Jacksonville State, Kansas State, LMU, Marshall, Oakland, Sacramento State, San Jose State, and UMKC.
"Our qualifying for this event was very competitive and some of the best scores we have seen in qualifying," said D'Amore. "The guys are trending in the right direction and ready to get going."
The five who will compete for the Lions are
Cameron Meeks,
Raymond Navis,
Gavin Cohen,
Kyle Kinnane, and
Mason Glinski.
Matthew Carungay will also travel and play as an individual on the Par 72/7,112 yards course.
The tournament will begin with 9:30 a.m. (CT) split tee times off #1 and #10 on Sunday and Monday, then a 9:00 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on Tuesday.
