The Loyola Marymount Lions (20-12, 9-3 WCC) welcome the University of San Diego to Page Stadium for a three-game weekend series as they venture back into West Coast Conference play.
 
The Lions sit atop the WCC standings and are looking to build on their momentum having won their last four series against competition within the conference.
 
LMU has been getting production from up and down the lineup for head coach Jason Gill. Junior Trevin Esquerra, currently leading the team in batting average at .321, has been a constant threat at the plate for the Lions. In addition to leading the team in average Esquerra is also the pace setter in slugging percentage at .695, hits with 42 and has 11 of LMU's 12 home runs on the year. 
 
Another Lion having a hot year is junior Nick Sogard who's currently sitting at second in batting average at .315 and has been an absolute menace on the bases leading both LMU and the WCC in stolen bases with 15. 
 
The pair of juniors have been accompanied by freshman Tommy Delgado who's .300 batting average has been a boost for the Lions' lineup. Delgado is in the top five amongst Lions in slugging and on base percentage as well as hits stolen base percentage.
 
The Lions return to Page against the Toreros having won six of their last 10 games versus their WCC foes and took two of three as the home team in 2017. 
 
In addition to all the action taking place on the field, LMU has a variety of events scheduled at Page for the weekend as Friday is CAGE night where things get started with a BYOB tailgate from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Also, on the premises will be Ralph and Richies food truck as well as CAGE baseball jersey giveaways. 
 
On Saturday night the Lions will be honoring their 1998-2000 baseball teams for their three-peat WCC Championships and giving away commemorative pennants. Sunday will be the House of Lions as Game of Thrones inspired locker banners will be given away.
