LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The No. 43 Loyola Marymount women's tennis team will take its first conference road trip this season, as the team is set to take on Saint Mary's on Friday and Pacific on Saturday.
The Lions (5-4, 0-1) will head into this weekend's matches with the highest ITA ranking in program history. The ranking comes after a four-game winning streak, which includes two Lion sweeps.
The Lions will be coming off of a split week, as they swept Cincinnati 4-0, and fell to No. 7 Pepperdine 4-0.
The Lions are led by Veronika Miroshnichenko and
Eva Marie Voracek, who were named this week's West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week. The pair is 6-2 on the season and beat Pepperdine's No. 15 ranked pair 7-5.
Last season, the Lions swept both Saint Mary's and Pacific 4-0. The team will take on the Gaels on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Moraga, Calif., and then head to Stockton to take on Pacific on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
