Collegiate Baseball News released their 2020 Preseason All-American team on Tuesday and Loyola Marymount University Lions right-handed pitcher Nick Frasso was named to the Second Team while infielder Trevin Esquerra was selected to the Third Team.
 
Frasso is coming off a season where he appeared in 19 games, starting five while leading the team in saves with 10. He was recognized as a member of the All-WCC Second Team as well as the WCC All-Tournament Team in 2019. 
 
Esquerra led the team in numerous offensive categories in 2019 including batting average at .322, hits (75), homeruns (16), doubles (20), RBIs (60), slugging percentage (.622) and was recognized as a member of the All-WCC Second Team and ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I West All-Region Second Team. 
 
The Lions begin the 2020 season on Friday, February 14 when they take on the University of Washington Huskies at Page Stadium with season-opening first pitch set for 6:00 p.m.
