'EWA BEACH, Hawaii – The LMU men's golf team shot three strokes under par collectively to open the 2019 Hoakalei C.C. Invitational. The Lions are tied for fifth overall after opening with a 285 on Monday.

Gavin Cohen anchored the Lions after tying his season-low with a 69 to sit in a tie for seventh. Cohen led all players with two eagles in his first 18 holes, and the team recorded a tournament-best three eagles.
Samuel Su is tied for the tournament lead with a 4.25 average on Par 5 holes, and shot a 71 to place in a tie for 25
th on Monday.
Following a par opening round,
Kyle Kinnane sits in a tie for 37
th with his 72.
Joining the LMU five as a late injury addition,
Justin Egelske finished one over par at 73 to open the tournament.
Raymond Navis recorded a 74 to round out the five.
All teams will tee off at 8 a.m. HT on Tuesday to begin the second round.
