LOS ANGELES – The LMU men's golf team is back on the road for their fourth tournament of the fall. The Lions will spend three days in 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu playing in University of Hawaii's Hoakalei CC Invitational. The tournament will be played from Oct. 28-30, with 18 holes each day for a total of 54 holes.
"Hawaii is such a special place and the team is excited to get there," said Head Coach
Jason D'Amore. "We've had a few weeks to sharpen up and the guys look great. We are looking forward to this opportunity."
This year's field includes 20 participating teams: Abilene Christian, Army West Point, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Denver, East Tennessee State, Hawai'I, Idaho, Louisiana, Louisville, LMU, Marquette, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, San Diego, UMKC, and UT San Antonio.
In the 5-count-4 format, LMU will compete with
Gavin Cohen,
Raymond Navis,
Kyle Kinnane,
Samuel Su, and
Mason Glinski to score, with
Justin Egelske joining the field as an individual.
Each day will begin with an 8:00 a.m. HT shotgun start on the 7,444 yard, par 72 Hoakalei Country Club course.
