Playing a road West Coast Conference match at Portland on Friday, LMU women's tennis (11-4, 3-1 WCC) posted a 4-2 victory over the Pilots (4-12, 0-5 WCC) from the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center.

The Lions dropped the doubles point to open play, but rebounded nicely in singles competition.

#51 Veronica Miroshnichenko took down Jelena Lukic, 6-3, 7-5, at the top of the order to run the match score even at 1-1 before Eva Marie Voracek posted a 6-4, 7-6 (2) win on court two over Radina Dimitrova.

Siobhan Anderson followed with a court three win, defeating Lourdes Ramalle, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, pushing LMU to within a point of victory.

After the Pilots earned the point on court four, Elvira Juravliova sealed the win for the Lions, defeating Anna Oberg, 6-4, 6-0, to capture the fourth and clinching point.

The Lions will get right back to work on Saturday, traveling to Gonzaga to play the Bulldogs at 11 a.m.
