Finishing up the home portion of the schedule with Senior Day on Saturday, LMU women's tennis (13-5, 5-2 WCC) celebrated with a 4-0 sweep over visiting San Diego (10-10, 2-6 WCC) to close the home schedule from the LMU Tennis Center at a perfect 10-0.

The Lions captured the doubles point by way of wins on the final two courts. Yesica De Lucas and Elvira Juravliova teamed to record a win over Gemma Garcia/Carolin Nonnenmacher, 6-3, on court three before Siobhan Anderson and Anna Romeka knocked off Maria-Paula Torres/Colomba DiFilippo, 7-5, on court two to hand LMU the doubles tally.

Romeka is the lone Lion senior on this year's squad, closing her home career with the clinching doubles win.

#44 Veronica Miroshnichenko opened singles play with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Nicole Anderson on court one, pushing LMU to a 2-0 lead in the match score. Fellow freshman, Eva Marie Voracek, followed with a 7-6 (3), 6-1 triumph over Daniela Morales on court two, pushing LMU to within a point of the sweep.

De Lucas clinched the win on court four, taking down Kati Kukaras in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.

The Lions will play two more road matches next week before traveling to the WCC Championships. The Lions will visit Santa Clara on Friday before finishing the regular season at San Francisco on Saturday.
