Pushing its record to 9-0 at the LMU Tennis Center this year, LMU women's tennis (12-5, 4-2 WCC) posted a 4-0 sweep over BYU (11-7, 4-2 WCC) on Friday afternoon.

BYU opened doubles play with a convincing victory on court three, but LMU proved its depth with wins on courts one and two. #31 Veronica Miroshnichenko and Eva Marie Voracek combined to defeat Mayci Jones/Anastasia Abramyan, 6-3, on court one to force the decision to be made on court two. There, Siobhan Anderson / Anna Romeka clinched the victory with a 6-4 triumph.

LMU showed well in singles, capturing all three completed courts, including the first from Camila Tumosa on court six. Tumosa defeated Taylah Beckman, 6-3, 6-4, before Anderson recorded a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Polina Malykh on court three.

Needing one more win to earn the victory, LMU received the clincher from Elvira Juravliova who took down Madeline Almeida, 6-3, 6-3, on court five.

The Lions will now prepare for Saturday's WCC clash with San Diego. First serve from the LMU Tennis Center is set for 11 a.m.
