Making up a contest that was postponed due to poor weather last week, #15 LMU beach volleyball (9-7) posted a 4-1 victory over CSUN (9-2) on Wednesday afternoon from the Matador Beach Volleyball Complex.
Playing at #3 in the order, Emma Doud and Veronica Nederend extended their win streak to three matches by way of a 21-13, 12-21, 15-9 victory over Lauren Conati/Autumn Russell. LMU's #4 pair, Bozena Culo and Maddie Leiphardt also won their third straight decision, besting Erin Indermill/Daniella Molinari, 21-18, 21-11.
LMU's other two victories that counted toward the team score came on courts one and five. Savannah Slattery and McKayla Ferris reunited on court one, defeating Katie Sato/Aeryn Owens, 21-16, 18-21, 15-6, while Kekai Whitford and Chloe Reinig managed a 21-14, 21-11 win over Shawnee De Oliveira/Cassidy Rosso on court five.
In Wednesday's extra match on court six, Kristen Castellanos and Cierra Simpson dispatched Nicolette Pinkney/Cassidy Rosso, 21-19, 21-18.
LMU will return to action on Thursday when it hosts the final home matches of the year from Ocean Park Courts in Santa Monica, Calif. The Lions will meet Concordia at 10 a.m., followed by matches against Saint Mary's and Vanguard.
