Went 17-12 overall last season, including 10-6 with Emma Doud ... played primarily at the #3 spot, where she went 11-9 ... was 8-6 at #3 with Doud ... National Scholar Athlete.
2017 • SOPHOMORE
Posted a 16-14 overall record with partner Emma Doud, including going 14-12 at the #4 spot in the order ... also managed a 2-1 record at #3 ... closed the year having won nine of the last 11 matches overall, including eight straight from April 8-21.
2016 • FRESHMAN
Recorded an overall record of 7-20, with twelve of her matches being played in the number two position ... five of her seven wins came alongside partner Lindsay Carr ... her straight set victory alongside Lindsay Carr helped LMU to a 4-1 win against Cal Poly on March 4th.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2015 graduate of Central Valley Christian High School in Visalia, Calif... three-year varsity letterwinner playing for head coach Meghan Warkentin... served as team captain in her senior year... garnered All-Central Sequoia League honors in each of her final three years... All-County as a junior and senior before earning an All-State selection in her final campaign... named NCSAA Large School All-American in 2014... led her Central Valley Christian team with 382 kills in her senior year, guiding her squad to a CIF Section Championship... 2014 League Co-MVP... helped guide her team to the 2013 Section Championship before finishing as the runner-up in the Division III State Championship... also competed in soccer and track and field in high school.

Veronica Rey Nederend was born November 18, 1996 in Upland, Calif... daughter of Sheri and Rex Nederend... has three sisters, Amber, Erica and Danielle, and two brother-in-laws, Robby and Brit ... chose LMU because the people are very friendly and she wanted to be a part of a fun community of athletes, the location is pretty great, and the size of the university is ideal... a sociology major with an education minor.
