Lions Split Pair of Saturday Matches

Playing a pair of matches on the road in Bakersfield, Calif., LMU beach volleyball (8-7) earned a split of the two, falling to #6 Cal Poly, 3-2, before sweeping past CSU Bakersfield in the finale.

LMU shook up the pairings a bit on Saturday, most notably putting Savannah Slattery and Jessie Prichard together atop of the order. McKayla Ferris dropped to the second spot in the order to play with Sara Kovac. Both of those pairs went 1-1 on Saturday.

Veronica Nederend / Emma Doud also teamed at court four, going 2-0 on the day. The same went for LMU's #5 pair of Bozena Culo and Maddie Leiphardt.

LMU will return to action on Wednesday when it travels to CSUN for a 1 p.m. match with the Matadors.
