Playing on the road at #2 Pepperdine (11-1, 1-0 WCC) on Saturday afternoon, LMU women's tennis (8-4, 0-1 WCC) won the doubles point, but could not secure the victory after dropping the first four singles matches. Pepperdine's 4-1 win over LMU hands them a point in the PCH Cup standings.

LMU came out strong in doubles, recording victories on courts one and two to take the point. After Pepperdine claimed a victory on court three, LMU's #28-ranked pair of Veronica Miroshnichenko and Eva Marie Voracek answered with a 6-4 win over #30 Luisa Stefani / Mayar Sherif on court one. Siobhan Anderson and Anna Romeka sealed the point for the Lions, knocking off #70 Evgeniya Levashova/Dzina Milovanovic, 6-3, on court two.

Singles matches saw the Waves post straight-set victories on courts one, four, five and six. Pepperdine's singles lineup featured ranked players at each of the first four spots in the order.

LMU will return to action on March 28 when it hosts Saint Mary's at 11 a.m. from the LMU Tennis Center.
