PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii – Loyola Marymount men's golf put together back-to-back rounds of 276 and 281 to finished the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational. The Lions followed their impressive Monday showing with a 7-under performance on Tuesday to finish at 291-276-281—848.
"It was nice today," said Head Coach
Jason D'Amore. "We had a solid showing, but our first round was what kept us from contending."
LMU tied with Sam Houston State (283-281-284—848) at 16-under for the tournament.
Raymond Navis helped the Lions hit their season-low 848 with a final-round 66. The freshman finished his tournament tied for 10
thwith a 72-70-66—208 to lead the team.
A stroke back,
Riley Elmes tied for 14
thwith his 71-66-72—209.
Justin Egelske matched his under-par round from the day before, finishing with a 75-71-71—217.
Kyle Kinnane shot a 73-69-76—218 to earn a spot in the top 60 of the 110 player field.
Closing out the LMU five was
Mason Glinski with a 83-72-72—227.
This tournament serves as the final competition of the fall, with the Lions picking things back up at the end of January.
