PROVO, Utah – The LMU men's and women's cross country teams are participating in the WCC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27, hosted by BYU in Provo, Utah.
The Lion men enter the postseason competition ranked No. 15 in the region.
"The WCC Championship is our first test in the postseason," Lions head coach
Scott Guerrero said. "Both teams are fit and looking to improve on last year."
The women's 6K will be the first event of the day for the Lions beginning at 9 a.m. PT (10 a.m. local, MT). The eight runners from the women's team will be
Perri Bockrath,
Grace Catena,
Kyla Danforth,
Raina Hines,
Giselle Masedo,
Dani Rowlinson,
Maddi Vorgitch and
Hannah Wohlenberg.
The men will follow in the 8K at 10 a.m. PT (11 a.m. local, MT). The nine Lion men running in the 8K will be
Zach Arias, Solomon Demeku‐Ousman,
Branden Estrada,
Ethan Frisone,
Joseph Garcia,
Simeon Paul,
Koby Pederson,
Jack Polerecky and
Alex Sasser.
"The WCC continues to get tougher," Guerrero continued. "On the men's side, six teams are ranked regionally which is unprecedented, and three on the women's side."
