LOS ANGELES - With a shift in the lineup, the Loyola Marymount women's tennis team was able to end their two match losing streak and top UC Riverside on Wednesday, 4-0. In the rescheduled match from earlier this season, the Lions (9-6, 1-2 WCC) won the doubles point then took the first three singles courts to top UC Riverside (5-9, 0-4 Big West).

Anna Romeka and Siobhan Anderson each earned their first career wins on the No. 1 Doubles Court with their 6-0 victory on Wednesday. Romeka was winless in four matches at the top doubles spot over her first two seasons and Anderson had never played on that court.

Teaming up for the first time in their careers were Jessica Perez and Micheline Aubuchon, who won the No. 3 singles court, 6-2, and secured the doubles point for LMU.

Once singles play began, Perez and Camila Tumosa posted matching 6-0, 6-0 scores to put the Lions a point away from clinching the match. Anna Romeka closed out the day with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court No. 3.

The Lions continue at the LMU Tennis Center this week with a pair of West Coast Conference matches. LMU hosts San Francisco on Friday at 1 p.m. and welcomes Santa Clara to campus on Saturday at 11 a.m.
