LOS ANGELES - As National Signing Day came, Loyola Marymount added their next key guy as Dameane Douglas signed his National Letter of Intent to join the men's basketball program. Douglas is a 6'6 guard/forward combo athlete from the 2018 class at San Juaquin Memorial in Fresno, Calif. He played his junior year at Hanford West High School in Hanford, Calif.

Dameane is a tremendous athlete," said Head Coach Mike Dunlap. "He's a high character person with exceptional grades. We are proud to welcome Dameane into the Lion's family. He's an immediate impact player!"

Douglas is coming off a junior season where he averaged 35 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, and five blocks per game, earning himself the Hanford Sentinel's 2017 boys basketball Player of the Year.

According to the Sentinel, "Of the top five scoring games in Hanford West history, Douglas holds four of them, including a school record 45 points in a single game early in the year against Hoover. His points per game and rebound averages were also school records."

Douglas also plays for California United Elite (AAU), and is the son of former NFL player, Dameane Douglas, who played for the Philiadelphia Eagles from 1999-2002.
