LOS ANGELES - Gersten Pavilion will be a busy place this 2016-17 basketball season, and it just added another date to it's schedule as LMU added Boise State to the home schedule in December.

The Lions will take on Boise State for the third straight season with the Broncos come to Los Angeles on Monday Dec. 5. In addition, the Lions named Sonoma State as their exhibition opponent on Friday, Nov. 4 to start the new season. Game times have been set for non-conference, but are subject to change.

The 17 regular season home games is second only to the 20 the Lions hosted in 2011-12. They went on to win 12, the second most in a single season while playing in Gersten Pavilion. The home slate helped the Lions to a 21-13 record and a trip to postseason (CIT) that season.

The non-conference schedule is highlighted by UConn, who visits on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 pm. Other non-conference match-ups in November include the season opener against Vanguard at 7 pm on Nov. 11 and a triple header with the women's LMU Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 25 when they end the night with Portland State at 7 pm.

December begins with the Broncos at 7pm, followed by Southern Utah on Dec. 8, also at 7 pm. Saturday, December 17 will be Alumni Family Day at the Game with a basketball doubleheader with the women, who start the day at 1 pm with UC Riverside, followed by the men at 4 pm against Incarnate Word.

Non-conference comes to a close with UT-Arlington on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7 pm, followed by Morgan State on Monday, Dec. 26. The day after Christmas match-up is the Sixth Annual LMU Holiday Classic, which features free admission and $1 hot dogs.

Conference play begins at home on Dec. 29 with Saint Mary's.
