SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Senior Connor Campbell wraps-up LMU career with his third straight West Coast Conference All-Academic Honors. The WCC announced the 2015-16 WCC Men's Golf All-Academic Team on Wednesday.
Campbell was named first-team All-Academic while junior Blake Meek was named honorable mention All-Academic for the second straight season. Campbell joins Chaz Inouye (2004, '05, '06) as the only player in program history to earn three straight All-Academic honors.
Campbell concludes his career at LMU with a 74.15 stroke average in 123 rounds over four years. His senior season say him post a 73.55 average with three top-10 finishes. As for Meek, he played in 21 rounds in his third season with the Lions, posting a 76.67 average.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
