The LMU beach volleyball team (1-7) dropped a pair of matches in Hawaii last weekend, falling 5-0 to Hawaii and 4-1 to Nebraska at Queen's Beach.

LMU's lone pairs victory in head-to-head competition came on court five against Nebraska, as Sara Kovac and Kristen Castellanos defeated Brooke Smith/Mikaela Foeke, 21-15, 16-21, 18-16.

Prior to the matches against Hawaii and Nebraska, LMU competed in a pairs tournament where LMU's top pair of Avery Bush and Rachelle Suaava posted a win in the gold bracket. Castellanos and Kovac also posted a win in the tournament, as the duo is now 2-1 on the season.
