Aug. 6, 2015 LOS ANGELES - The LMU Sports Network continues looking at the seven newcomers for LMU men's basketball, and the summer series continues with junior Adom Jacko.
Jacko was the first member of the 2015-16 recruiting class to sign in November.
Jacko, a 6-8, 210-pound forward, was named to the CCCAA All-State team and the 2014 CCCAA Men's Basketball Championships All-Tournament Team. He was part of a program that went to the CCCAA Final Four in back-to-back seasons.
As a sophomore at Chaffey in 2013-14, he shot 61.7 percent from the field to get to his 13.6 points per contest, ranking sixth in the state. He had 229 rebounds in 34 games, 115 coming on the offensive glass. He ranked third in the state in offensive boards. He added 22 blocks to his resume. The Panthers finished the season 28-6 overall and 10-2 in conference play.
The 2015-16 recruiting class combined to post a record of 266-98 (73.1 winning percentage) in each of their final two seasons at the previous institution. Joining Jacko is National NJCAA Player of the Year and two-time NJCAA All-American Brandon Brown (Phoenix College; Phoenix, Ariz.), NJCAA All-Conference selection Buay Tuach (Northeast C.C.; Norfolk, Neb.), McDonald All-American Games nominee Jeffery McClendon (Eastside HS, Lancaster, CA), NJCAA All-Conference selection Shamar Johnson (Pensacola State College; Pensacola, Fla.), and Canadian National Team member Munis Tutu (La Lumiere School; LaPorte, Ind.). They will all join the Lions for the 2015-16 season.
