The LMU women's tennis team (3-12) forced a pair of three-set matches in singles play against San Diego State, but the Aztecs (7-8) earned a 7-0 victory over the Lions on Sunday at the LMU Tennis Center.

After Kristin Buth and Isabelle Hoorn posted a victory on court one of doubles, Julia Norlin and Andrea Crespo got the Lions even at 1-1 with a 6-3 victory on court three. With the doubles point hinging on court two, Jessica Perez and Anna Romeka dropped a hard-fought 7-6 (3) match to Hailey Johnson and Tami Nguyen of SDSU.

The Lions played #67 SDSU close throughout singles play, with Crespo and Ellie Grossman forcing three-set matches before ultimately falling. Although the others were decided in straight sets, Jessica Perez, Anna Romeka and Kristine Kouyoumjian all forced seven-game first sets, including Kouyoumjian falling in a tiebreaker, 7-2.

LMU will return to action when it plays #64 Nebraska in Newport Beach, Calif. on March 25 at 2 p.m.
