The LMU women's tennis team (3-11, 0-2 WCC) suffered a 5-2 setback at the hands of #75 Gonzaga (10-2) on Saturday at home at the LMU Tennis Center.

Andrea Crespo and Ellie Grossman provided highlights for the Lions in the loss, as Crespo managed a hard-fought 7-6, 6-7, 10-6 victory on court two by way of a 10-point tiebreaker. Grossman, playing at #5 singles, defeated her opponent in a marathon tie-breaking third set at 21-19.

Returning to the singles lineup, Jessica Perez dropped a close 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 battle at the top court to Gonzaga's Katie Edwards.

Another ranked-opponent awaits the Lions on Sunday at home, as LMU will welcome #67 San Diego State to LMU tomorrow at 1 p.m.
