The LMU women's tennis team (2-6) won the doubles point on Saturday, but ultimately dropped a match to #68 Arizona (7-1) by a score of 5-2. The match was played at UNLV.

After dropping the first doubles match on court one, LMU stormed back to win the other two courts to take the doubles point. Anna Romeka and Lisa Piller combined to beat Lauren Marker and Inge Hendrix, 6-2, before Andrea Crespo and Julia Norlin knocked off Laura Oldham and Devin Chypyha, 6-3, to seal the point.

Arizona proved it was worthy of the national ranking in singles play, as #115 Marker defeated Jessica Perez on the top court, 6-1, 6-1. Romeka showed tremendous fight on the fourth court for LMU, rallying to defeat Shayne Austin despite dropping the first set by a score of 6-1. Romeka took the second 6-4 to force a third, where she topped her opponent by the same score. Piller, a senior captain, also battled tough on Saturday, falling in close 6-4 sets to Hendrix at #6 singles.
