Dotseth, Nitti Earn WCC All-Academic Honors

LOS ANGELES - Mark Dotseth and Craig Nitti were both included on the 2014 West Coast Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Teams, the league office released Friday. This marked the fourth consecutive year that the Lions placed multiple people on the academic teams.

Dotseth earned selection onto the 11-member First Team for the first time in his career. The redshirt sophomore is a biology major carrying a 3.66 cumulative GPA. On the field, Dotseth has started all 18 matches as part of the Lions' back line that has recorded eight shutouts and a 0.71 GAA.

Nitti earns his third straight Honorable Mention honor as his final collegiate season concludes. A management major, he carries a 3.25 cumulative GPA. The redshirt senior defender has anchored the Lions' defense all season while also contributing five goals and one assist.

LMU closes out the 2014 season Saturday night, hosting San Diego at 7:30 p.m. on Sullivan Field.
