LOS ANGELES -- Playing in just their second home game of the season, 16th-ranked LMU men's water polo earned a 10-5 win over Redlands at the Burns Aquatics Center on Thursday afternoon.
The game was part of LMU's Wells Fargo Week of Madness and the Lions doubled-up the Bulldogs thanks to a allowing just one goal in the second and third periods.
Up 3-2, the Lions scored three unanswered, including a pair from Milutin Mitrovic, to take a 6-2 lead. They would lead 7-3 at the half.
In the third period, goalie Kirk Wilenius made six of his 11 saves on the game to shutout Redlands and help the Lions take an 8-3 lead into the final quarter.
LMU tacked on two more as did Redlands for the final score. Mitrovic and Vuk Cvetkovic finished with three goals each.
The Lions will host the annual Alumni Game on Saturday at 1 pm as part of the Week of Madness and will then host No. 1 USC on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 4 pm.
