Wednesday Results - MPSF Championships 
The LMU swimming team competed in a pair of relay events on Wednesday at the 2012 MPSF Championships being held at East Los Angeles College. The Lions finished eighth in the 800 freestyle relay and sixth in the 200 medley relay.
UC Santa Barbara won both races en route to leading the pack with 80 points. UC Davis sits second at 68 points, followed by BYU (64), San Diego (56), Northern Colorado (50), LMU (48), Cal State Bakersfield (42), Seattle University (40), and Cal Poly and University of Pacific with 30 points.
The team of Christina Cannata, Jill Dahle, Diana Safa and Katie Rick combined for a time of 7:40.09 in the 800 freestyle, while UCSB posted a time of 7:17.82 to win the race.
LMU's Sophie Allen, Camille Hopp, Yvonne Le and Noelani Vargas teamed to post a mark of 1:45.28 in the 200 medley relay. The Gauchos once again finished atop the standings, stopping the clock at 1:39.63 to record a new MPSF record.
The Championships continue tomorrow from East Los Angeles College.
