Results

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Yesterday, the LMU women's tennis team travelled south to San Diego to face top ranked conference opponents University of San Diego Toreros. The Lions saw a big win from April Bisharat over no. 75 Hoffpaur at the number one singles position, however the Lions were unable to get the overall win falling 6-1.

In doubles play, the Lions were unable to hold off the Toreros dropping on all three courts. April Bisharat and Melissa Valenzuela fell 8-2 on court one to Hoffpaur/Coupez. On court two, Miya Jin and Shauna Morgan dropped a close 8-6 to Claus/Escalona. Finally on court three, Reka Rohonyi and Elisaveta Pironkova fell 8-2 to Sujica/Depenau.

In singles play the Lions were led by a win from April Bisharat on court one. Bisharat defeated nationally ranked Hoffpaur 7-6, 5-7, 11-9 in a close three set battle. Bisharat's win gave the Lion's their sole point on the day. In other singles play the Lions were unable to top the Toreros falling 6-1 overall.
