LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The women's tennis team couldn't hold off no. 68 Cal Poly Mustangs today falling 7-0 on the road. The Lions were unable to get a point against the Mustangs in doubles or singles but saw good play from April Bishart and Reka Rohonyi in singles.
In doubles the Lions tried to rally against the Mustangs but couldn't pull out a win on either of the three courts. Anderson/Jin played at the number one positon were defeated 8-4 by Markhoff/Lee of Cal Poly while Pironkova/Rohonyi also fell 8-4 to CPSLO. On the third court, Morgan/Valenzuela dropped a close 8-6 to Lehane/Gatewood.
In singles the Lions shifted their line up a bit but the Mustangs still proved to be too much for the Lions. Both April Bisharat and Reka Rohonuyi almost had wins in the first set but were unable to come back in the second set.
