Moscow, ID (Sept. 28) -- The Loyola Marymount University men's golf team shot a two-round 597 to put them into 10th place in the 13-team Vandal Fall Classic hosted by the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.
Junior Mike Farrell led the way for the Lions, shooting a first round 70 and a second round 74 to finish the first day in a tie for 12th place. He is 11 shots out of first place with a two-round score of 144. Leading the tournament is Travis Inlow of Idaho, who has a two shot lead over St. Mary's Joe Lanza at 133.
Freshman Dean Delaye was second on the Lions with a two-round score of 148. He is tied for 32nd out of the 78 golfers. Rounding out the Lions scores was freshman Chaz Inouye with a score of 151, junior Joe Legacy with a 154 and sophomore Chris Hudson with a 155.
Inouye finished in a tie for 48th, while Legacy is in a tie for 57th and Hudson in a tie for 60th.
The Lions will play the final round of the Vandal Classic on Sunday, Sept. 29.
