Del Mar, CA -- The Loyola Marymount University Golf team ended in a tie for tenth place after the second round of the San Diego Invitational in Del Mar, CA on Monday afternoon. The Lions were led by Mike Farrell who shot a score of 77 (+5) in both rounds for a total score of 154 (+10). Farrell ended the day tied for 22nd place with five others.
Two rounds of 18 holes were played on Monday with the final 18 being played on Tuesday. Pacing the Lions along with Farrell were Joe Legacy who shot a total score of 157 (+13) after the first two rounds. Other Lions to note were Dusty Morton who shot a 160 (+16), Gavin Witzer with a 163 (+19), and Nick Arata who shot a 165 (+21).
San Diego State University leads the tournament finishing Monday with a total score of 587 heading into the final round. The overall leader in the tournament is Mark Warman of San Diego State University who shot a 141 (-3) after the first two rounds.
The Lions finish play at the San Diego Invitational on Tuesday at the Del Mar Country Club.
