Los Angeles, CA - Michelle O has been announced the new assistant women's tennis coach by Loyola Marymount University's (LMU) Head Coach Jamie Sanchez. This spring will be O's first season of coaching tennis at the collegiate level, as she as served has a club professional for three years, serving at organizations such as the Riviera Tennis Club in Los Angeles, CA.
A 1998 graduate of William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA, O played four years of tennis while working towards her bachelor's degree of business administration in marketing. She served as the team's captain during her senior campaign, leading her team to their fourth-consecutive NCAA appearance. O was an All-American at William and Mary in 1998 in doubles as she won the Regional Championship in singles in 1997, and in doubles in 1996 and 1997. She currently holds records in the William and Mary women's tennis books for most wins in a season (39-16 in 1997), and ranks second all-time for career wins (132-53). An avid athlete, O has also participated in the Chicago Marathon (1999) and Los Angles Marathon (2000). She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
