SANTA CLARA, Calif. — No. 51 LMU dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 40 Santa Clara in West Coast Conference men's tennis Sunday, falling to 16-3 on the season.
The Lions showed early promise in doubles, with
Max Wuelfing and
Alex Padro Parra leading John Kim and Luca Bluett 5-3 at No. 1 before the match was called unfinished. However, LMU dropped the other two courts, as
Cesar Cruz and
Emil Kindhult fell 6-2 to Tiago Boschmans and Luca Lemaitre Vilchis at No. 2, and
Cyrus Ahmad and
Darius Tamaddon were defeated 6-2 by Ferran Redza and Valentin Faure at No. 3, ceding the doubles point to Santa Clara.
