COLLEGE 
2024–25 (Marquette) 
Spent his freshman season at Marquette University, competing primarily at No. 2 singles with occasional appearances at No. 1 singles … earned the program’s Most Improved Player Award … also nominated for Rookie of the Year by Marquette Athletics … competed in the Big East Conference. 
 
HIGH SCHOOL (Washington HS – Fremont, Calif.) 

2023 (Senior Year)
 
Capped an historic senior campaign with a perfect 18–0 singles record … became the first tennis player in Washington High School history to win the North Coast Section (NCS) singles title … also the first NCS boys champion in any sport from Washington HS since 1996 … named Athlete of the Year for the entire school … also earned Most Valuable Player and Most Inspirational Player honors … won the Mission Valley Athletic League (MVAL) singles championship … helped lead Washington HS to the NCS team semifinals for the first time in program history.

Born in Fremont, Calif. … son of Saad Ahmad and Shazia Dean … father played one season of men’s tennis at North Carolina Central University (1991–92), earning the Most Improved Player Award … has no siblings … nickname is “Cy Guy.” 
 
WHY LMU?
 
“I chose LMU because of the great competition the WCC Conference has to offer and the stacked competition in the Southwest Region. The tennis coaches at LMU are great for player development and I know they can help take my game to the next level. The location is amazing too, along with the academics.”
