Three Lions Named to CBU Classic All-Tournament Team

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - After a dominant 5-0 weekend at the CBU Classic, Loyola Marymount had three standouts recognized for their performances as Lindsay O'Dell, Izzy Jamgotchian, and Sydney Poole were each named to the CBU Classic All-Tournament Team.

The trio played pivotal roles in the Lions' championship run, helping LMU improve to 10-1 on the season behind timely hitting and dominant pitching.

O'Dell anchored the pitching staff throughout the weekend, earning four wins and improving to 6-0 on the season. She opened the tournament with a complete-game victory over California Baptist, allowing just one run across 7.0 innings. She followed that with two shutout relief appearances against Utah State and CSU Bakersfield before closing the weekend with 3.2 scoreless innings in a 6-0 win over Hawai'i. Across the tournament, O'Dell consistently delivered in high-leverage moments, silencing opposing lineups and stabilizing every game she entered.

Jamgotchian powered the Lions offensively with a string of clutch performances. Against CSU Bakersfield, she went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles igniting a nine-run offensive showing. She also drove in key runs against Saint Francis and contributed an RBI in the final weekend matchup win over Hawai'i. Her ability to deliver in scoring situations and control the middle of the lineup proved instrumental throughout the weekend.

Poole was equally impactful at the plate, combining consistency with extra-base power. She recorded multiple hits in four of five games, including a 3-for-4 performance with two RBI against Saint Francis and a three-RBI outing against Hawai'i. Against CSU Bakersfield, Poole added two hits and an RBI in the Lions' 14-hit effort. Her ability to spark rallies and drive in runs made her one of the most dangerous bats in the tournament field.

Behind the standout performances of O'Dell, Jamgotchian, and Poole, LMU outscored opponents 36-10 over the five-game stretch and continued to build early-season momentum. The All-Tournament honors reflect both individual excellence and the collective strength of a Lions squad that continues to trend upward.
