Owen Hackman gritted through six shutout innings, bringing his scoreless inning streak to 14. He has allowed only a single run in his last three starts, totaling 19 innings.Â

Brendan Bobo launched his twelfth homerun of the season to get the Lions on the board in the third inning. It was his third straight game with a homer and he is now tied for the team lead. He added an RBI single in the seventh.Â

Devan Ornelas also launched a no-doubter in the fourth inning to extend the Lions lead. Ornelas crushed homer number three on the first pitch he saw in his second at bat. He zoomed around the bases, giving the Lions a 4-0 lead. He added a double and scored the fifth run of the game for the Lions.Â

The Lions remain tied for sixth place in the WCC, with five games left to play. The Lions must win one more game than Pepperdine to finish ahead of the Waves due to the Waves' advantage in the season series. Â
