LOS ANGELES— The WCC has announced its 2024 end-of-season awards, with the Lions taking home an impressive eight honors.
Sam Hastings,
Paige Flickinger,
Mia Schafer, and
Sophia Meyers were named to the All-Conference First Team, while
Jiana Lawson earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.
Marlee Arrington was selected for the All-Freshman Team, and
Kalani Hayes received Honorable Mention recognition.
Hastings also claimed the title of Libero of the Year, reaching a career milestone of over 1,000 digs this season. This marks her second All-Conference First Team honor while with the Lions.
Schafer was named Setter of the Year, achieving career milestones of more than 3,000 assists and 900 digs.
Head coach
Trent Kersten was honored as Coach of the Year, becoming the first LMU women's volleyball coach to receive the award since Steve Stratos in 1996.
The Lions capped off the regular season with a stellar 16-2 conference record and a strong 24-5 overall mark, highlighting an outstanding campaign.
