SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Hayden Washington recorded a top-25 finish and the LMU women's cross-country team finished 12
th overall in the gold race of the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite on Friday in South Bend, Ind.
Washington continued to be the top runner for the Lions, cracking 18 minutes on the 5K course. Washington set a new PR on a 5K course with a time of 17:56.2, with an almost 18 second improvement over her previous best.
Shelby Page was also among the scorers that set records in South Bend. Page improved almost 18 seconds as well, notching a personal best of 19:13.1.
Senior Lauren Wagner finished second for the Lions and 51st overall. Two freshmen followed Wagner as scorers for LMU.
Rylee Guinn finished 67
th overall with a time of 18:50.6. Kennedy Bartee finished 80th with a time of 19:01.4.
The Lions had a very solid team average time of 18:42.6.
