LMU Women’s Water Polo Release Spring Competition Schedule

LOS ANGELES – Ahead of his second season leading the LMU women's water polo program, head coach Ikaika Aki has announced the Spring 2024 schedule. The Lions will open the season on Jan. 20 and 21 at the ASU Invitational before making their home debuts under the lights on Jan. 26 back at Burns Aquatics Center for a 6:00 PM night game.
 
Additional non-conference home games include CSUN on Feb. 9, Toronto on Feb. 18, and Princeton on Mar. 15.
 
As part of the non-conference schedule, LMU will play in road tournaments in Tempe, Ariz., Fullerton, Calif., San Diego, Calif., and Thousand Oaks Calif., before beginning the conference portion of the schedule.
 
Golden Coast Conference action will begin on Mar. 9 and 10 in Northern California against Santa Clara then Pacific. The Lions will then return home for a season-long four games in a row on The Bluff concluding with three consecutive GCC contests. 
 
The Lions placed third in the GCC tournament last season by virtue of defeating San Diego State in the third-place game. The Lions won 15 games in Aki's first season back at his alma mater, including a 6-1 record in conference play.
