LOS ANGELES – The WCC announced their WCC Women's Tennis All-Conference Awards, and it comes to no surprise that the Lions claimed several well-deserved awards.
Freshman of the Year was given to
Anna Paradisi who finished 8-3 in singles. Paradisi came to LMU and made a great impact to the women's tennis program.
Veronika Miroshnichenko was selected to the Single First Team with a record of 11-5 (overall), 7-2 (WCC).
Eva Marie Voracek and
Stefania Rogozinska-Dzik were both recognized for their outstanding contributions and awarded Honorable Mentions as well.
When it comes to doubles,
Miroshnichenko & Voracek took home a First Team Doubles All-Conference award. The duo finished this 2022-2023 season 10-4(overall), 6-2 (WCC).
Ahead of the WCC Championships this season, it is no surprise that the Lions have the No. 3 spot with a WCC record of 7-2, winning the last seven consecutive conference matches.
The Lions finished their season 13-6 and head to San Diego for the WCC Tournament as they take on the San Francisco Dons, Apr. 27, at 10 AM.
