SAN MATEO, Calif. – LMU beach volleyball earned six first-place votes to claim the top spot once again in the annual West Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Lions also garnered six student-athletes on the preseason team.
The coaches poll and preseason All-WCC team were selected solely by a vote of the conference's seven head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own teams and student-athletes. LMU totaled 36 points in the poll.
Last spring, the Lions won their third WCC title after winning the 2022 WCC Championship. They were also picked to finish first in the 2022 and 2020 preseason polls.
LMU will open the season on Friday, Feb. 24 with a pair of game to be played at the Ocean Park Courts in Santa Monica beginning at 10:00 AM.
