LOS ANGELES – Six Lions have clinched spots on the All-WCC Teams roster. Kari Geissberger, Michelle Shaffer, Sam Hastings, and Jacquelyn Moore secured spots on the First Team, while Isabella Bareford and Amethyst Harper earned Second Team honors.
 
This is Geissberger's third First Team honor. She has accumulated 254 kills, 67 digs, and 63 blocks this season, and in September, Geissberger reached a career-high of 1000 kills against the Portland Pilots. Her past WCC awards include All-WCC First Team (2020), All-WCC Freshman Team (2020), All-WCC Second Team (2021), WCC Preseason Team (2022), and All-WCC First Team (2022).
 
Shaffer, coming from Santa Clara University, is in her first season playing in an LMU uniform after recovering from an injury last year. Despite her injury, she has showcased her skills with 205 kills and 201 digs. This season, Shaffer achieved the unique milestone of recording 1000 kills, 1000 assists, and 1000 digs in her career. This is Shaffer's first All-Conference First Team recognition.
 
In her second season at LMU, Hastings has been a constant starter in all matches. This season, she has accumulated a total of 347 digs, averaging 3.94 per set. Impressively, she has reached double digits in digs for 21 games. In September, Hastings showcased her defensive skills with 26 digs against Saint Mary's, followed by 23 in the subsequent game. Her past WCC honors include being part of the All-WCC Honorable Mention Team in 2022.
 
Moore, in her third year at LMU, has consistently excelled. Currently holding 224 kills with only 40 errors and a total of 284 points. She leads the nation in hitting percentage at .454%. Moore achieved a remarkable feat early in the season, being the sole player in the country to hit 1.000 on over 10 attempts in a match, recording 12 kills on 12 attacks against Montana on September 15. Her previous WCC accolades include All-WCC Freshman Team (2021) and All-WCC First Team (2022).
 
Starting in every game this season, Bareford she has tallied 539 assists, achieving 20+ assists in 15 games. Her season peak was 31 assists against American University in September. Across her LMU career, Bareford has accumulated a total of 3356 assists, averaging an impressive 9.27 assists per set. Noteworthy WCC accolades include All-WCC Freshman Team (2020), All-WCC First Team (2020), All-WCC Second Team (2021), and All-WCC First Team (2022).
 
Harper has left a lasting mark on LMU in her single season with the WCC. Starting in every match, she achieved 10+ kills in 10 games and a standout performance of 20 kills against Santa Clara in October. This season, she has a total of 237 kills and 286.5 points, maintaining an impressive hitting percentage of .583%. Harper's defensive contributions are notable, with 137 digs and 63 blocks to her name.

Closing out the regular season on a high note, the Lions achieved a commendable 13-3 record, solidifying their strong 20-6 overall standing.
