LOS ANGELES - LMU men's basketball has signed Michael Graham for the 2022-23 season. Graham played two years at Elon University where he started all 32 games for the Phoenix this past season.
The Brooklyn, N.Y., native comes in at 6-8 and played both in the forward and center positions for Elon where he led the team shooting over 60 percent from the field, grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game, and blocking 41 shots in 2021-22.
"We are beyond excited to add Michael to our program," said Head Coach
Stan Johnson. "He's a player that truly wants to get better and loves to be coached. His ability to rebound, block shots, and run will fill a major void in our program."
Graham played his high school ball at both Xaverian High School and Canterbury School where he was a highly touted prospect in the class of 2020. In addition to his strong play, Graham graduated high school with honors.
"Michael has so much untapped potential as a player," added Johnson. "His best days are definitely ahead of him. He comes from a tremendous family and is someone who will represent our university with the upmost class on and off the court. It's a great day to be a Lion."
"I felt the love and family aspect as soon as I landed, and a family oriented space is important to me," said Graham. "Also with the chance of being an impact player in a great environment, I couldn't turn that down."
Graham is the third player to sign with the Lions this offseason, joining fellow
transfer Noah Taitz and
incoming freshman Chance Stephens.
