LOS ANGELES – LMU Men's Basketball has added former Lion Jevon Porter back to the roster for the 2026-27 season. Porter last played for LMU in 2024-25, where he was named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention Team. Last season, Porter played college basketball at University of Missouri and most recently, played in the NBA's Salt Lake City Summer League for the Memphis Grizzlies.
While playing for the Lions in his junior season, Porter started 31 of the team's 32 games and finished the year ranked 21
st in the West Coast Conference with 12.5 points per game, ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, in the WCC with 1.13 blocks and 7.2 rebounds per game. Porter recorded a season-high 29 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and totaled four blocks on his way to MVP honors in LMU's win over Wyoming to win the 2024 Cancun Classic.
Over his first four years of NCAA Basketball, Porter has totaled 1177 total points, grabbed 616 rebounds, blocked 85 shots, and recorded 79 steals. Porter started his career at Pepperdine and played 52 games for the Waves before transferring across the conference to LMU. In his one season back in his hometown of Columbia, Mo., Porter shot a career-best 49.1 percent from the field in his 17.4 minutes per game.
