SAN BRUNO, Calif.- The West Coast Conference has named LMU's Diego Baqueiro Player of the Week on Monday, Apr. 25, 2022.

LMU's Diego Baqueiro absolutely crushed the ball over five games this week. The starting third baseman for the Lions hit .571 with a .630 OBP and 1.000 slugging percentage lifting the Lions to three wins and two in conference. Baqueiro posted 10 RBI, with at least one in each game he played, and three in both non-conference games at UNLV. Along with his 12 hits, three doubles, and two home runs, Baqueiro multi-hit games in all five outings and each individual game was .500 or better from the plate. Baqueiro had both an RBI double and a two-run home run in the ninth inning alone in LMU's comeback win over UNLV.

The Lions will remain at home for Tuesday's non-conference game against UC Riverside before heading on the road for a weekend WCC series in Spokane against Gonzaga.
